Hello, I’m Christy!

As a learning and development professional, I ignite curiosity and foster growth, transforming challenges into opportunities.

About Me

My passion lies in learning and guiding others on their career journeys. Currently, I work on-site, introducing leadership concepts both online and in the classroom. I’m a firm believer in the power of education and encourage anyone with a desire to enhance their skills or knowledge to pursue their dreams without hesitation.

My Projects

I crafted a Needs Assessment tailored to address the specific requirements of my employer. Upon joining the company, my goal was to develop a comprehensive Leadership Program for all our leaders.

During this process, I discovered that many leaders lacked formal training in managing challenging team dynamics and resolving conflicts. As a result, they often turned to the HR Team for assistance in mediating team issues.

This assessment was developed using surveys, interviews, and observations. These tools were chosen as the best means for identifying the gaps of the leadership. The surveys gathered information from a large group of participants regarding their knowledge, skills and needs related to leadership. The interviews provided qualitative data about their perspectives, experiences, and needs. Observations were used to gather valuable information about their behavior, performance gaps, and areas for improvement in their working environments.

I designed and developed an app called Precision Perks during my Master’s program, specifically tailored for Franklin Precision Industry, my current employer. The name ‘Precision Perks’ considers our company’s commitment to excellence.

This innovative app is a platform for teams to celebrate and acknowledge outstanding contributions from their members, going beyond their usual responsibilities. It’s a powerful tool that fosters a culture of recognition and appreciation within our organization, driving motivation and teamwork.

I choose Adobe UX to design the graphics and buttons for navigation through the app. This tool is very user friendly and creates a very robust tool with a user-friendly process.

This project was developed using Rise 360, aiming to provide comprehensive training for new managers, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills to effectively lead their teams. The training comprises seven lessons covering various areas crucial for managerial roles. Learners navigate through interactive elements, such as flipping boxes and expanding sections, to access learning content. This online training complements an in-classroom session designed to reinforce concepts learned upon completion.

The Project Evaluation Report was generated using Canva and the Kirkpatrick Model. It assessed the “Rising Leader Program,” designed for high-potential individuals within the organization. The evaluation yielded positive results across all levels, indicating the program’s success in bridging skill gaps for new leaders and equipping them with the necessary skills for a successful start in their roles.

This project is ongoing and is still delivering positive results within the organization.

This project is designed for user interaction, with clickable buttons for navigating content, including an acronym where each letter is linked to its meaning. I added a voiceover to meet video recording needs and once again chose Canva for its wide range of elements, including animations and slide linking. These features allow for dynamic engagement, making the content more interactive and visually appealing.

I recently developed a project on Carbon Neutrality, focusing on the importance of sustainable practices and their impact on our environment. Using Canva, I designed engaging visuals to effectively communicate key concepts, while the voiceover, recorded with Screen Pal, adds a dynamic layer to the learning experience. This project aims to raise awareness and inspire action towards a greener future.

This is a project I worked on in Articulate. This particular training has several user interactions with correct and incorrect answers. There is no results page at the end. Just a “try again” type training in order for the user to be able to look over as many times as they feel they need to in order to understand the concept of the S.M.A.R.T. goals.
